OEM-labelled memory
Keep Dell, HPE and Lenovo option or spare numbers on their own order lines. A Samsung, Micron or SK hynix manufacturing number can support identification, but does not replace the requested OEM number.
ASTER RACKIT / Server memory
Build a memory order around the installed server—not capacity alone. Compare OEM-labelled options, component-manufacturer modules and matched lots while keeping the full part number, module type and host generation together.

Server memory / product range
Build a memory order around the installed server—not capacity alone. Compare OEM-labelled options, component-manufacturer modules and matched lots while keeping the full part number, module type and host generation together.
Keep Dell, HPE and Lenovo option or spare numbers on their own order lines. A Samsung, Micron or SK hynix manufacturing number can support identification, but does not replace the requested OEM number.
Request a complete manufacturer MPN, capacity, memory generation, module organisation and speed grade. These are quoted as component-brand products, not relabelled OEM options.
For repeat deployments, specify what must match across the lot: part number, revision, rank, speed or label. Share installed DIMM details before adding capacity to existing systems.
Part-number discipline
OEM option numbers, service-spare numbers and component-manufacturer MPNs are distinct purchasing identities. Similar hardware is not an approved substitution.
Specify the server brand, full option or spare PN and exact target system. The manufacturer marking can be recorded alongside it; it must not replace the OEM number on your order.
Specify the manufacturer MPN and required specification. These products are quoted under their own identity, with host compatibility and any proposed OEM alternative reviewed separately.
Selection guide
Use this guide to prepare your requirement. Only the complete system and exact part identity can establish a suitable configuration.
| Requirement | Typical buying purpose | Confirm before ordering |
|---|---|---|
| Capacity expansion | Add memory to an existing server fleet. | Installed modules, CPU count, free slots and desired total capacity. |
| Like-for-like replacement | Replace a failed module without changing the platform plan. | Complete existing PN, module label and server generation. |
| New memory population | Prepare a consistent build for several servers. | Required capacity per CPU, module count and platform population rules. |
| Service inventory | Hold spares for a defined installed base. | Approved PN list, permitted revisions and minimum quantities per PN. |
Build the requirement
Project use
Balance the target capacity across your host fleet and record the installed memory before planning additions.
Build a spare list around deployed part numbers and generations, with substitutions subject to approval.
Group repeat orders by exact PN and lot requirements so modules can be allocated to the intended systems.

Buyer questions
Yes, but they remain different purchasing identities. We retain both where available and do not substitute one for the other without agreement.
No. Confirm the supported operating speed for the complete CPU and DIMM population.
Yes. Specify the quantity and any revision, rank, speed or label requirements. Availability is confirmed with the offer.
Send clear photographs of the module label and the server model. Do not include management passwords or confidential customer information.
Yes. Keep each brand, complete PN, quantity, condition preference and target system on its own line. Identify whether alternatives may be considered.
You can request either condition. The offer must identify the supplied condition, inspection scope, warranty terms and included accessories for each item.
No. The request is a draft for discussion. Availability, pricing and order terms are confirmed separately.
Contact the team to arrange a visit and discuss which equipment or inspection process you would like to see. Access and demonstration details are confirmed in advance.
