Switch 1 port allocation

Select a physical cage, then assign its role and rate. Numbers are the front-panel planning sequence, not IOS XE interface names. Uplinks, SVL and DAD consume the same port budget.

One planned connection per device pair. Dashed links are unconfigured. Rate is a port capability, not guaranteed throughput. Upstream models and transceivers are not yet selected. This is not a stacking or Virtual Chassis group.

Review · Confirm the installed perpetual Network Essentials or Network Advantage entitlement.
Review · C9500-24Y4C: confirm the complete IOS XE release.
Review · Confirm whether this is a new switch order, subscription renewal or existing installation.
Review · Confirm transceiver PNs, cable reach, FEC, power, airflow, currently supported software and the complete network design before ordering.
Review · Allocate enough upstream connections per device for the proposed layout. Unassigned ports are not connected links.
Review · Confirm upstream equipment, optics, cabling, airflow, power, software release and required base entitlements before ordering.

Installation notes

  • Select a supported optic or cable for the exact port, speed and software release.
  • Select the correct base network entitlement separately from the management subscription.
  • Software feature availability depends on the selected IOS XE release and configuration.
  • Reserve physical ports used for uplinks, StackWise Virtual links and dual-active detection before calculating host capacity.
  • In Europe, C9K-PWR-650WACL-R must be used as a dual-power-supply configuration.
  • C9500-NM-8X and C9500-NM-2Q are not supported on this model.
  • License SKUs are software, not extra switches, ports or hardware modules.
  • Port speed support alone does not validate a specific transceiver or cable.
  • Confirm the complete hardware, optics, cabling and software configuration before ordering.
  • Uplink, data, SVL and DAD assignments share the physical port budget.

PHOTOGRAPHS THAT SUPPORT YOUR RFQ

Check the ports, power and accessories.

Attach a photo brief to the request for Cisco C9500-24Y4C. This is a checklist to agree, not a record that inspection has already been performed.

01

Front-panel identity

Request the exact model and revision label plus a straight-on port photograph. Compare the physical port groups and uplinks with the matching manufacturer drawing.

02

Rear-panel configuration

Request PSU, fan and airflow labels, AC or DC input details, rack ears and included optics or cables. Record exclusions as separate line items.

03

Evidence without a staged monitor

Product photography should show the standalone device, with no boot monitor. Request console or management records separately where appropriate, with private identifiers shared through the agreed channel.
